Sung Eun Lee
Seoul National University College of Humanities, Department of German Language and Literature / Interdisciplinary Program of Cognitive Science
Professor Sung Eun Lee’s main research field is neurolinguistics, focusing especially on examining the language processing in the human brain by using brain imaging techniques. Until now, he has studied the cognitive nature that occurs in the acquisition and usage of German by Korean learners. Recently, Professor Lee is examining the process of German-centered multilingual acquisition using electroencephalogram (EEG). Another area of interest is humanities-centered interdisciplinary research. Professor Lee has great passion in doing research by combining humanities-related topics with other fields including engineering, psychology, and medical science. For future research, he plans to find the cause behind language disorders created by brain damage and develop a cure for such disorders.
